How do I choose a therapist?

Browse the directory — filter by specialty (anxiety, depression, teenagers…), city and price. Open the profiles: you'll find qualifications, approach, languages, price and reviews from real clients. Choose someone you feel you could talk to comfortably — trust is the most important factor for successful therapy.

How much does a session cost?

Each therapist sets their own price, visible on their profile and in the directory. You pay per session — no subscriptions or hidden fees for clients.

How do payments work and when am I charged?

By card via Stripe — one of the world's largest payment providers. The amount is held on your card before the session, but captured only after the session takes place. If the session doesn't happen due to the therapist, the hold is released and you pay nothing.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, from your profile. More than 48 hours in advance — free. Later cancellations carry a fee per the Terms of Service (30%, 50%, or 100% for a no-show).

How does an online session work?

Via a secure video connection right in your browser — nothing to install. You get a link to the video room from your profile at the agreed time. Sessions are not recorded.

Is the platform suitable for teenagers?

Yes — that's a core focus of ours. Many therapists specialise in working with teenagers and sensitive topics. Users under 14 need parental/guardian consent.

Are my conversations confidential?

Yes. Therapists are bound by professional ethics and confidentiality. Video sessions are not recorded, messages are protected, and your data is handled under GDPR — see the Privacy Policy.

Psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist — what's the difference?

A psychologist holds a university degree in psychology and consults on life difficulties. A psychotherapist has additional specialisation in a therapeutic method (CBT, family therapy, etc.) for deeper work. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor — only they can prescribe medication. On MyTheraSpace you'll find psychologists and psychotherapists; if medication is needed, they will refer you.

What if the session doesn't happen or there's a problem?

Open a dispute from your profile within 24 hours after the session. Our team reviews the case — a justified dispute gets a full or partial refund. The payment stays held until the dispute is resolved.

Are the reviews real?

Yes — only clients with a real, paid session with that therapist can leave a review. Outside reviews are not possible.

I'm a therapist — how do I join?

Register as a therapist, complete your profile and pass identity verification (to banking standards, via Stripe). After manual approval your profile goes live and you start accepting bookings — with built-in payments, video sessions and invoicing.

Do you work with NHIF (НЗОК)?

Sessions on the platform are paid privately. Therapists with an NHIF badge also have an NHIF practice outside the platform — ask them directly via message.

Can I switch therapists?

Of course — at any time. Finding the right person sometimes takes more than one try, and that's completely normal. Just book a session with another therapist.
